NSPCC Jersey

NSPCC Jersey

Having supported the NSPCC for over 40 years, our growing relationship with NSPCC JERSEY led to the Foundation purchasing a building, which in 2013 was donated to the NSPCC after being completely refitted. It is now an award-winning centre.

At The Gower Centre the NSPCC supports local families to help make sure children are given the best chance in life with several services including:

Letting the Future In; an extremely important programme which helps abused children move towards a positive, safer future.

Pregnancy in Mind; a group programme working with women with mild to moderate mental health problems, in their first trimester. They can take their partner or supporter with them.

Seeking Solutions; a service for 7 to 18-year olds, offering help and support to cope with and overcome problems that affect their life, happiness or wellbeing.

Speak Out. Stay Safe; a programme which is delivered to schools using appropriate methods to talk to primary school children about abuse; such as the highly successful Pantosaurus character, educating children to keep themselves safe, and used as a tool by parents to open delicate conversations with their children.

Also Childline; available 24 hours a day to help children and young people deal with anything that worries them. Some 600 children in Jersey and Guernsey have already been helped with counselling sessions.
